emPUTArte

The title, emPUTArte, is a combination of the two Spanish words "PUTA" and "ARTE", which in turn is complemented by the feeling of "emputarte", which refers to feeling rage at an unfair event. The idea came to me just furiously after seeing on television how a policeman abused, beat and arrested a prostitute, after cheating on her in civilian clothes, making an appointment with her and taking her to the hotel to capture her there and take her prisoner.

It hadn't yet been that long since NY Mayor Giuliani finished his term, but you still could feel his legacy of "zero tolerance".

My rage took me to introduce myself as a prostitute who had no home, but she had to wash and dry her clothes so that she would be clean during her night services. What better place than the main door of the iconic Empire State Building, to make "good consciences" tremble?
